Coping with Challenging Times: Free Online Community Session

This is a FREE event Live on Facebook every Tuesday at 7 pm EST.

The event will offer a guided deep relaxation and breathing instruction and a discussion about coping in stressful and challenging times.

Ahimsa, self compassion and compassion for others, often means doing our best to bring balance to difficult situations. We know that anxiety and fear can depress the immune system and cloud our thinking, making us less effective in caring for ourselves and our communities. Practicing yoga, breathing and meditation can bring greater ease to any situation, especially in times of stress. Our practice helps us cope with whatever comes our way, in mind, body and spirit. Follow @PathtoCalm on Facebook to join this and future sessions.

Yoga for Changemakers

Yoga for Changemakers

Yoga provides a map to change on the inside and can be a powerful path to support external changes - in our personal lives, communities, social and political environments.  Join others for an afternoon of practice and community conversation about how yoga can inform change inside and out. *Music by Eric Ian Farmer

At a time when many are recommitting to working towards change in the outside world, taking time for practices that calm us, replenish our energy, and help us reflect on what actions we are each personally called upon to take can be essential.

Are you a yoga student or teacher, an advocate, activist, social service provider, volunteer or leader in your community who is interested in yoga as a tool for clarity and self-care in these changing times?

While everything around me is ever changing, ever dying, there is underlying that change a living power that is changeless, that holds all together, that creates, dissolves and recreates.... For I can see in the midst of death, life persists, in the midst of untruth, truth persists, in the midst of darkness light persists.
